We wanted to introduce ourselves and give some backstory to why we started this blog. Our names are Landon and Teresa Poss we are lifelong Catholics and we were joined in the Sacrament of Marriage on September 2, 2017. From the beginning of our courtship in August of 2015, we worked diligently to make sure Christ remained at the center of our relationship and that we upheld and respected His design for marriage. Are or were we perfect? No! We are imperfect sinners and we rely on the grace and help of our Lord Jesus Christ every, single day. We enjoy spending time with one another and our cats, Rosey and Keanu. We are patiently waiting and praying for children.

This is our Rosey. She is a five year old black tabby. She is definitely Daddy’s princess and if she wants something she will make herself heard loudly.
This is our Keanu. He is an almost two year old ebony tabby. He is a Mama’s Boy. He is very curious and is always getting into mischief.

Our home is very traditional. I, (Teresa), am a homemaker and I also work part time for the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska in the Family Life office as a Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner/Instructor. I spend my days baking, cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping and generally maintaining order in our home. I love my role of homemaker and the time it affords me for cooking and baking new things. I am constantly practicing offering up my daily tasks for the intentions of others and praying for others throughout my day. As far as hobbies go, I am an avid reader and needlework enthusiast; often I can be found cross stitching late in the afternoon before I make supper or late in the evening after my work for the day is done. I enjoy hanging out with our MEC friends, (Landon explains MEC below), on Thursday nights. As far as family goes, I have a younger sister, Emily, and a younger brother, Joe. My parents, Melissa and Chuck still live in Council Bluffs, Iowa in the home they raised myself and my siblings in. I have two brothers-in-law, Jordan and Ben and consider their wives, Allison and Emily, to be my sisters. I have two nephews, Jack and Graham and one niece, Thea. I also have a Godson, Evan who is the child of dear friends. My favorite saint, (after Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. Anthony), is St. Gianna Beretta Molla.

I, (Landon), am 36 years old.  I am originally from Sibley, IA.  I am happily married to Teresa Poss as of September 2, 2017.  Regarding family,  I have two brothers (Jordan and Ben), two sisters-in-law (Allison and Emily), two nephews (Graham and Jack), and one niece (Thea).  Thea is also my goddaughter, and Teresa and I have another godson, Charles, who is the child of our friends Jennifer and Michael Siegel.  My father (Larry) is still alive and remarried after my mother died in 2015 (married now to Cathy).

Currently and hopefully for the foreseeable future, I work for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a Rating Veterans Service Representative (adjudicate disability claims).  In my spare time, I like to read, learn more about the Catholic faith, and watch college and pro football, basketball, and baseball.  I also like to hang out with our friends in our Carmelite group (generally every Thursday) known in English as MEC (it was originally founded by an Italian priest).  My favorite saint (after Our Lady and St. Joseph) is St. John Vianney.

As far as our household and this website goes, I handle our finances, generally drive, and help out around the house with various chores such as taking out the garbage.  God bless you for checking out our website!

Thank you for visiting our website and we hope that you will find our posts encouraging on your road to sainthood!

In Christ,

Landon and Teresa Poss
